It’s a cocktail because in each of the topic specific areas addressed, I added quotes, anecdotes, and personal devotions. Then I added some of the topics I talked the most about with my girlfriends, and Lola’s Prayer Cocktail came to be. This was cathartic for me after I realized all of the stressful women’s issues I had overcome or experienced in my own life. So, when God told me to write a book geared toward women I researched the things women had the most concerns (stress) with in life, and made sure to write the book as one sister talking intimately to another.
I’ve always wondered what it would be like to have a sister, especially during times in my life that were difficult. *The Biblical stories in this book are brought to life by the author in hopes to further convey the messages given to us through God’s Word, not to change or substitute meaning.
